The Executive Chef position is the most senior position in a kitchen’s chain of command and is responsible for all kitchen production across outlets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
Job Requirements:
Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards.
Knowledge of fundamental principles and procedures of food preparation, short orders and banquet food service.
Ensure quality culinary dishes are served on schedule and to see that any problems that arise are rectified.
Responsible for approving all prepared food items that leave his or her kitchen.
Responsible for modifying and creating new menus as needed.
Create a wide variety of new dishes for his or her kitchen.
Must be familiar with and adhere to standard recipes.
Administrative duties such as ordering supplies.
Must train all kitchen staff.
Successfully complete training of required OSHA programs.
Must practice safe working habits.
Must attend food handlers course as required by county.
Must assist during peak demand times including kitchen prep, cooking duties, setup, etc.
Must assume line duties when department is slow to maintain cost controls.
Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
Necessary Skills:

Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation available.
Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations.
Must be organized, honest, and work well with others, and have an outgoing personality.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
Must be able to handle heat and stress
Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
Must be able to write
