    Job Description:

    The Whiskey Thief Rooftop Bar Manager oversees all beverage and food operations for the Whiskey Thief rooftop bar at The Edwin Autograph Collection Hotel.

    Ideal Candidate:

    Ideal candidates for this role have 2 to 3 years of comprehensive operational bar management experience within the boutique or lifestyle segment. Candidates must have a strong understanding of craft cocktail program development, vendor relationship management, staff development, and guest experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Complete all required brand specific training

    Complete all required Vision University training

    Complete all required health and safety training

    Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards

    Work as a team with all property leadership in order to promote smart workflows

    Ensure the integrity, execution, and quality of Whiskey Thief service

    Recruit, hire, train, and mentor Whiskey Thief staff

    Coordinate work assignments, department planning, schedules and payroll reporting for Whiskey Thief

    Understand, develop, and maintain strategies to control and improve food cost beer cost, wine cost, and liquor cost

    Create and develop menu and beverage pricing, beverage lists, and specials

    Responsible for formulating advertising, condiments, linens, uniforms, and decor strategies within Whiskey Thief

    Maintain a system of cost controls through purchasing, sales, and inventory management

    Understand, follow, and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations

    Control and maintain labor costs via scheduling software

    Prepare cost and revenue reports. Develop and maintain quality control procedures. Gather critical operating data

    Must be CPR certified, MSDS trained, serving alcohol with care, and have completed brand specific training programs – or willing to train in these areas

    Must perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel, restaurant, lounge, and service to the guests.

    Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.

    Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets

    Have or learn knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures

    Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays - serve as MOD when necessary.

    Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and personal appearance

    Able to lead & work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

    Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation available.

    Key Performance Objectives/Measures of Success:

    Regular analysis of business performance using P&L statement and guest feedback systems

    Key Performance Indicators include (but not limited to):

    o Liquor Cost, Beer Cost, Wine Cost, Food Cost, Labor Cost, Employee Retention, Order Delivery Times, Guest Satisfaction measures and Variance

    Development of a long-term social media/digital strategy that allows for Top 10 rankings on TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, and other online platforms

    Development and maintenance of a standardized, systematic training program that allow excellence in service execution and continuing education of all staff members.

    Development and implementation of rotating seasonal menus

    Physical Requirements:

    Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds

    Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment

    Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far

    Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder

    Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours

    Must be able to handle heat and stress

    Have finger dexterity for operating equipment

    Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
