    The Role:

    The Vice President of Accounting is responsible for overseeing all Accounting department operations and ensuring that industry standards and regulations are satisfied. The Vice President of Accounting guides the department to produce timely and accurate reports of the Company’s financial performance while monitoring and maintaining the overall fiscal health of the Company.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented leader with a penchant for creative problem-solving. They will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in financial management for full-service or select-service properties. The candidate must possess a substantial knowledge of hotel Accounting operations including the maintenance of general ledgers and the ability to accurately interpret and efficiently prepare financial statements. In addition to their analytical aptitude, the candidate must also bring superior leadership and communication skills.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Leadership with a service mindset- coaching and directing the accounting team to treat our property leaders as internal guests

    Achieving results with integrity and holding others accountable to do the same

    Effectively managing and overseeing all aspects of the property’s Accounting Department. This is accomplished by:

    Overseeing all facets of Accounting operations including general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting.

    Supervising and motivating the Accounting team.

    Conducting and managing all company fiscal and information technology functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and current IT regulations.

    Preparing Accounting Department for internal and external audits.

    Analyzing data and regularly releasing reports to Senior Management concerning profits, costs, trends, and budget compliance.

    Providing guidance to Senior Management in terms of direction and process improvement.

    Ensuring property’s compliance with all federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable tax regulations.

    Planning and delegating daily Accounting activities and clearly communicating objectives.

    Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and yearly Financial Reports for distribution to corporate office and institutional partners.

    Implementing, maintaining, and promoting all Vision Hospitality Group policies & procedures.

    Ensuring that all appropriate systems and controls are in place to produce accurate monthly financial reports and knowing at all times where the hotel stands against budget.

    Dedication of obtaining the highest quality of guest and customer service.

    Cultivating an encouraging and positive work environment through execution of Vision's 'True Blue' Culture programming.

    Physical Requirements:

    Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds

    Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment

    Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far

    Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder

    Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours

    Must be able to handle heat and stress

    Have finger dexterity for operating equipment

    Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English

    Must be able to write
