Guest Services Representative- Bartender MOXY
Crewmembers wait on bar and hotel guests, obtains drink and/or food order and serves each guest. Responds to any guest need with a sense of urgency. Is the communications and information center for guests, fellow employees, vendors, and other outside business representatives, including the Specific Hotel Brand and Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. Performs a variety of clerical duties including basic computer work, reception and simple accounting tasks.
Job Requirements:
Complete all required brand specific training
Complete all required Vision University training
Complete all required health and safety training, and have or able to get needed license
Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards
Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
Provide personalized, friendly service to each and every guest
Basic knowledge of menu items, prices and composition
Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
Present and serve beverages to guests
Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations
Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards and vouchers
Stock and maintain the bar inventory
Ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables
Ensure production and delivery of food and beverage items in a food-safe manner and food-safe environment
Empty, clean and refill items as your side work duties describe
Maintain a clean uniform and person
Certified in Serving Alcohol with Care
Check guests into their rooms. Check guest out from rooms and ensure that they enjoyed their stay.
Successfully complete training of required OSHA programs
Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employees issues, etc
Complete knowledge of all hotel systems including PBX phone system, key card system, PMS reservation systems, and general office machines
Complete all tasks described on the relevant shift check list during shift
Knowledge of fire alarm system and Emergency/evacuation procedures
Checking the credit of guest accounts daily and follows up if action is required
Must have knowledge of surrounding area
Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
Must be CPR certified and MSDS trained
Must perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel, lounge, and service to the guests
Keep cash drawer secure and in balance throughout the shift – each GSA is responsible for his/her cash bank
Communicate with housekeeping department in order to ensure an ample supply of clean room’s for our guests
Sell and up-sell rooms to walk-ins and phone reservations
Necessary Skills:

Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
Have dependable transportation available
Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
Is organized, honest, works well with others, and has an outgoing personality.
Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
Physical Requirements:
Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
Must be able to handle heat and stress
Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
