    TRAINING SUPERVISOR – OILFIELD MANUFACTURING – HOUSTON


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position is responsible for developing a variety of training programs aimed at improving the capabilities of all employees on a multiple fronts, including those in soft, technical and leadership skills.This will incorporate training of senior level managerial roles and delivering industry related technical programs.The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Ensure programs meet the company’s business needs

    • Utilize coaching skills to provide solutions to managerial/supervisory challenges

    • Mentor others, creating and enhancing coaching skills internally

    • Create and develop training and development activities & programs within the organization

    • Identify training and development opportunities and shares best practices throughout the division-

    • Identify opportunities for organizational improvement; execute on them by targeted training initiatives and coaching; develop training curriculum to solve specific issues

    • Determine best media through which to deliver training, including games and video-based training

    • Present/deliver training to group ranging from 5 to 22

      REQUIREMENTS

      • Bachelor's degree in HR, Training & Development or Organizational Development is preferred, but will consider those without that have the right experience and background
    • Should be well-versed in Continuous Improvement/LSS (Kaizens, Gemba Walks, and similar tools)

    • At least 5 years in training design/development and delivery required; experience should be in both soft skills and technical training using a systematic process

    • At least 5 years in coaching (should include some coaching of executives)

    • At least 3 years of supervision, should be adept at conflict resolution

    • Prefer experience in a manufacturing facility

    • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and a good attitude with the ability to stand firm when necessary

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management and presentation skills
