    Vision Therapist Assistant

    The Center for Vision Development is seeking a full-time or part-time Vision Therapist Assistant to join our team.

    We're looking for someone who loves working with people and takes pride in doing things well. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn.

    As a Vision Therapist Assistant, you'll work closely with our doctors, vision therapists, and administrative team to support patient care and help keep our clinic running smoothly.

    Founded in 2004, The Center for Vision Development is the longest-established vision therapy practice in Austin. We specialize in developmental vision care, vision therapy, and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. We are a close-knit team committed to providing exceptional patient care while creating a warm, supportive experience for every patient and family.

    What You'll Do

    Work one-on-one with patients during visual processing evaluations and vision therapy sessions

    Administer, score, and enter evaluation results

    Support vision therapists and doctors in delivering high-quality patient care

    Assist with scheduling and coordinating make-up sessions

    Prepare patient charts and maintain accurate records

    Create patient binders and organize clinic materials

    Maintain inventory and stock therapy rooms

    Help keep therapy rooms and clinic spaces clean, organized, and professional

    Communicate effectively with team members to ensure follow-through on patient needs

    Experience We Value

    While not required, experience in the following areas is highly valued:

    Teaching, tutoring, or early childhood education

    Working with children

    Physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy

    Optometry, pre-optometry, or optical experience

    Healthcare, caregiving, or rehabilitation settings

    Customer service and other people-focused roles

    Schedule

    Flexible Hours (20–40 hours per week)

    Monday–Friday between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM

    One-hour lunch break

    No weekends
