    PROJECT ARCHITECT

    LUSK Architecture is looking for a skilled Project Architect to build our dynamite team. We have numerous projects, terrific clients, and a great work environment, including new computers, the latest CAD, REVIT and software programs, open office space and a dynamic collaborative work culture.

     QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Our ideal Project is a self-starter who has a strong design sense and has a keen knowledge of architectural principles and practices, construction means, methods and materials. 

    They are energetic and positive, and they communicate clearly with staff, clients and consultants.  This individual is creative and detail-oriented and takes pride in their work.  They are organized and driven, yet flexible and open-minded.  They have strong mentorship skills and enjoy the art of bringing all project elements together to meet clients’ objectives. 

    Should issues arise, this self-starter takes the initiative and steps in to quickly identify and solve problems.  They are confident and assertive, and can deal with demanding clients and consultants, as they are calm, collected and patient.

    This ideal Project Architect has a sense of urgency to ensure things get done and projects are 100% completed to the client’s satisfaction – all with an upbeat sense of humor.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The responsibilities and duties of our Project Architect include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Manage a wide variety of interesting projects in numerous states;
    • Run numerous projects simultaneously;
    • Interact directly with clients and consultants to achieve successful project outcomes;
    • Foster client relationships and assist with proposals and business development;
    • Manage profitability and monitor project budgets;
    • Work collaboratively with Principal and Team Members;
    • Participate in growth and direction of the company - your ideas matter;
    • Positive attitude – Respectful, thoughtful listener with a positive mindset.

    SKILLS

    REQUIRED

    • Minimum of 5 years of architectural industry experience
    • Project management experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
    • Strong AutoCAD skills
    • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
    • Private sector architectural experience in:               
      • Multi-family
      • Retail
      • Hotels
      • Commercial
      • Historic Preservation
      • Recreation/Club facilities
      • Office buildings

    PREFERRED

    • 10+ years of architectural industry experience
    • Registered Architect
    • NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards)
    • Experience working with Revit
    • Experience writing Specifications

     DESIRED

    • 3D modeling software experience (SketchUp, Rhino, etc.)
    • LEED certification
    • Involved in industry organizations – AIA, CSI, etc.
    • Photoshop experience

    We are headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. This individual must be willing and able to live in the Columbus area (and relocate if needed).

    SALARY RANGE:  $70K-90K
