    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    1. High school diploma; some college preferred.

    2. Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer focus.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    2. Empathetic personality with concern for patients’ needs.

    3. Strong organization with attention to detail.

    5. Demonstrated computer literacy.

    6. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply training.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Communicating to patients, including informing patients about tests and obtaining patient history.

    2. Performing accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks.

    3. Performing duties consistent with ophthalmic writer/scribe.

    4. Assisting physicians as needed.

    5. Performing patient triage.

    6. Maintaining instruments.

    7. Performing administrative duties including confirming appointments and maintaining cleanliness.
