We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Viskase plant located in Osceola, AR. As our Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting HR administrative and employee relations activities involved in daily plant operations within the plant Human Resources department and ensure the smooth operation of various HR functions. This role supports the HR Manager and is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about HR, eager to learn and is motivated be developed into the future successor to the Plant HR Manager in the next 2-3 years.
Responsible for providing HR support to all Plant employees, including supervisors and managers.
Assists in the communication / enforcement of all HR policies and procedures according to local/state/federal regulations and laws.
Proactively responds to employee relations issues; provides employees with guidance and clarification
Facilitates new hire orientations
Administers established compensation and benefits programs/policies at assigned Plant location.
Supports HR Manager in local recruiting activities for hourly workforce. Conducts full life-cycle recruiting (job documentation, job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing).
Assists in the administration and communication of established retirement plans and related benefits (401-k, pension, etc.).
Oversees and administers established payroll activities related to HR programs and processes.
Keeps Plant HR Manager apprised of employee issues and concerns.
Reviews FMLA documents for accuracy; works with plan administrator and Corporate HR on all FMLA leaves of absence.
Stay updated on HR best practices and industry trends to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
