Position Description: The part-time Payment Processor is responsible for
coordination, and administrative support of global client payments and
the management of client bank accounts as assigned. The individual
provides help and support to the Client Services and Operations teams
through their knowledge of client programs, channelPay (internal system)
and procedures in order to support client and partner queries. The
Payment Processor I also adheres to internal control standards to ensure
compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley principles (SSAE16) and works
mostly independently. Responsibilities Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: * Approve/reconcile funds received within Client Bank
accounts. * Process/Approve payment batch files from within channelPay
(internal system). * Research, monitor and resolve rejected and pending
payments. * Purchase foreign currency as required to enable
international payments. * Maintain help desk discrepancies and work with
appropriate staff members to resolve within service level agreements. *
Work closely with various Client Services / Operations staff on payment
files to ensure accurate processing. * Reconcile Client Bank accounts to
bank statements and resolve any issues. * Ensure GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
(SSAE16) compliance in regards to client payment processes. * Keeps
Senior Payment Processor up to date on an as-needed basis and escalate
issues appropriately. * Performs other duties as assigned by Senior
Payment Processor. Qualifications Qualifications: * This position
requires a high school diploma and a college degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting / accounts receivable or operations
experience in a finance-related position, or a relevant combination of
education and work experience. * Customer service oriented. * EFT/ACH
payment processing knowledge/experience a must * Knowledge of
international banking requirements and dealing in foreign currency an
advantage. * Extensive bank reconciliation experience preferred. *
Detail focused, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi task ensuring delivery to deadlines. * Familiarity
with Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel, and SharePoint is
essential. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. *
