Position Summary
The Visual Designer (VD) is at the intersection of advertising, internal marketing, and branded experiences, creating content in alignment with organizational goals, target audiences, and marketing campaigns. The VD is responsible for developing various forms of content, including still graphics, motion graphics, and videos, to communicate brand identity and engage audiences.
Essential Job Activities
Create simple motion graphics weekly for church TV rotation (“BrightSign”).
Develop 5-7+ service graphics packages annually.
Produce a monthly testimony video and other video needs for various Nights.
Produce short-form video content and related stills for ads, updated monthly.
Complete creative requests weekly for campuses and ministry areas.
Create brand packages for 12-15+ annual events, including Christmas, Easter, annual drives, Couples’ Night, Men’s and Women’s Nights, and Summer Camps.
Update and maintain in-service video needs, including for online experiences.
May be asked to contribute to other projects in alignment with skill set, such as merchandise creation, branding for external projects, and web or app UI/UX as needed.
Other activities as assigned.
Qualifications & Minimum Role Requirements
3+ years of experience executing visual projects (e.g. graphic design, motion graphics artist, or video filming & production)
Expert-level experience working with Canva Teams.
Experience working in the Adobe Suite (photoshop, premier pro, illustrator)
Self-starter able to manage, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple projects on time.
Able to self-manage, remaining organized and efficient in busy seasons.
Cue-sensitive and able to work with various internal teams to meet end goals.
Can receive feedback on deliverables with an objective outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience, education, or background in marketing, advertising, or communications.
Photography background and/or interest including the ability to constructively contribute to the photography team.
A propensity for learning and growth geared towards accomplishing tasks, duties, and responsibilities in a more efficient and effective manner.
A natural learner. Track record of seeking growth and education to accomplish tasks and responsibilities more efficiently and/or effectively.
Passion for advancing the Kingdom and helping people know the person and the character of Jesus.
