    The Vita Coco Company is searching for a LOGISTICS & INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR. This person will be responsible for coordination of delivery of containers, scheduling and tracking drayage with partners and securing on-time inbound of such goods into the appropriate systems. The Logistics & Inventory Control Coordinator will also oversee ad-hoc daily activities and drive for operational efficiency and improvements across our international and domestic distribution and warehousing network. 

    This role is based out of our NYC HQ reporting directly to the Director of Warehousing & Logistics.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Track incoming containers and inbound processes from water-to-warehouse
    • Communicate frequently and thoroughly on inbounding inventory and track high priority containers rigorously
    • Serve as liaison with all internal and external partners for daily operational activities in import, drayage, inbound and outbound warehouse and transport operations
    • Takes responsibility for 3rd party partners KPIs such as monthly inventory reconciliation, shelf-life management, and current and forecasted pallet positions.
    • Responsible for submitting reports as required; including ensuring administrative procedures are performed as necessary to complete required reports
    • Establish and maintain effective professional relationships at all levels throughout the organization and externally

    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
    • 3+ years of experience in Port Logistics, Inventory Control, Imports, Ocean Freight, Drayage and Domestic transportation
    • Experience managing a 3PL relationship, demonstrates an ability to influence and work effectively with external parties
    • Excellent analytical and communication (both written and verbal) skills
    • Mastery skill set in Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, macros, sales dashboards, etc.
    • SAP / MRP working experience
    • Ability to manage multiple activities and cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated team member who can drive resolution and problem-solve quickly
