    Vita Coco is looking for a Junior Designer, Brand Creative. This is a full time contract position with the intention to move to a full time permanent role for the right candidate. This person will work closely with our in-house designers, brand /marketing teams, social media / content team and creative freelancers. This role is based out of our NYC HQ which is currently hybrid and reports to the Art Director. (Please note: we cannot accommodate fully remote candidates at this time.) This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated designer to work in a fun, fast paced, and creative environment. The work is diverse and there is room for growth and career advancement for the right candidate.

    Responsibilities:

    • Understand the creative vision of the Vita Coco and PWR LIFT brands and uphold design standards to ensure consistency across all touch points
    • Respond to and translate a variety of design briefs from concept through to production ready files.
    • Ability to work to brand guidelines and flex out when needed
    • Collaborate with the in-house design team to strategize and implement design changes on a range of creative projects from marketing materials through to packaging projects and everything in-between!
    • Work within the existing workflows of the creative team, maintaining a can-do attitude and willingness to contribute in meetings and brainstorms.

    Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in design or related field; or equivalent training and/or experience.
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience with a portfolio that showcases your work
    • Solid typographic/layout design skills
    • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
    • Animation and digital skills a plus
    • Illustration skills a plus

    Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

    • Impressive attention to detail, a knack for organization, and an impeccable design eye
    • Take direction well, is a fast learner and thrives in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to listen and absorb feedback to hone skills and improve design capabilities
    • Able to prioritize tasks and address the most critical demands first
    • Has a passion for consumer-based branding and marketing
    • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management
    • An ability to balance many projects simultaneously, independently prioritize work based on project objectives and business goals, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
    • Possess a proactive, self-starter work ethic with the ability to operate independently within a small team;
    • Thoughtful, empathetic and creative.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

    At The Vita Coco Company, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include but are not limited to: skill set, experience, education, training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and abilities of the applicant, alignment with market data, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington. __
