Summary

As an Infusion Pharmacy Account Executive, you will be responsible for effectively applying promotional and selling strategies to expand company business opportunities and deliver revenue in an assigned area and contribute to the achievement of the company’s revenue goals. Provide complex and technical information to ensure awareness and appropriate use of company products to designated physician specialists, medical group practices, hospitals and other health care professionals. This position will report directly to Ownership and work closely with other departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
• Medical sales: 3 years (Preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently with minimal directions.

Vital Care is a locally owned franchise pharmacy of Vital Care Infusion Services, LLC. We provide infusion pharmacy services. Our infusion services focus on anti-infectives, total parenteral nutrition, enteral nutrition, cardiac inotropic therapies, immune globulin, and factor replacement. In this position, you will be calling on medical clinics to obtain infusion referrals including IVIG, Biologics, and Alpha 1 therapies. The ideal candidate will have prior formal sales training and experience in medical sales or clinical background.

Job Description

Your role will be to identify, develop and maintain relationships with referral sources to generate home infusion referrals. You will serve as a valuable clinical resource to referral sources by identifying opportunities to serve patients and creating a seamless transition of care in coordination with the Vital Care team.

Referral sources may include:

• Hospital Social Workers, Case Managers and Discharge Planners
• Health care providers and staff (MDs, PAs, APRNs, RN’s, LPN’s, etc.)
• Home Health Agencies
• Skilled Nursing Facilities, assisted living facilities, and independent living communities
• Others as Identified

Activities & Responsibilities:

• Identify and build relationships with current and potential referral sources for home infusion therapy services.
• Develop excellent working relationships with referral sources in the service area with the ability to properly manage and follow up with individual accounts.
• Make telephone calls, in-person visits, and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
• Plan and organize sales strategy to maximize efficiency.
• Be responsible for achieving targeted sales goals on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Document and report activities to management on a weekly basis.
• Communicate and work with the pharmacy team and help coordinate patient care activities.
• Maintain a high knowledge level of current therapies, supplies, and equipment required to perform the various therapies in the home by attending industry-relevant meetings, seminars, and educational programs, as required to maintain competitive knowledge of the industry.

Requirements:

• Existing relationships with staff at service area hospitals
• Registered Nurse
• Experience as an RN including, but not limited to, direct patient care or case management a plus
• Sales and/or account management experience a plus
• Relationship building skills and customer service focused mindset
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer proficient
• Clean driving record
• Goal and results-driven
• Outstanding work ethic
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently and make decisions

Compensation will include a competitive base salary and performance bonus based on experience and qualifications. The candidate must have valid driver’s license, automobile and auto insurance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds.
