Business Systems Analyst – Data Exchange / Data Interchange / SFTP / Banking / Financial (Permanent or Contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bridge people, process, & technology for Data Exchange / Electronic Data Interchange.
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements to customize, configure, implement, enhance, support, & test Secure Data Transfer applications in Financials / Banking.
- Work with EDI, Secure File Transfer / SFTP, Web API, and ETL tools.
- Develop Data mapping, Data model, User Stories, Story Cards, Use Cases, etc.
- Develop business rules, business model, process diagrams, and workflows / flow charts.
- Perform testing. Assist with UAT (User Acceptance Testing), test plans, & documentation.
- Review & develop specification & requirement docs (BRD, FRD, SRS, SDS, RTM, etc.).
- Perform gap analysis, as-is/to-be analysis, feasibility analysis, and risk analysis.
- Participate in walkthroughs, interviews, stand ups, JAD and project meetings.
- Collaborate with external Customers, Users, Stakeholders, Development & QA teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst or Systems Analyst
- Financial Data Exchange or Secure File Transfer / SFTP preferred
- Informatica B2B DX or Web API exposure a plus (not required)
- Banking, Finance, or Insurance Industry system and operations knowledge
- Data mapping, documenting requirements, workflows, user stories, etc.
- UAT, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, JIRA, UML, Visio & Excel preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Business Analyst Certification a plus
