Paramedic/ Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Pay rate/range:** $40/hr.

Full Job Description:

VitalCheck Wellness is recruiting a Paramedic/ Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide immediate medical care (First Aid+) for employees of a private company in New York City.
Experience working at construction sites is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all records on employees seeking and given treatment.
• Maintain all safety records to include accident reports.
• Maintaining comfortable, orderly, safe and clean environments.
• Assisting with special projects as assigned.
• Rendering care to injured/ ill workers.
• Determining if first aid is adequate or if transport to a physician, ER, or trauma center is needed. Coordinate transport as needed (911).
• Coordinate return to work of injured workers.
• Participate and/ or lead safety meetings.

Requirements:

• Valid license/ certification.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience providing immediate medical care.
• Must be able to make presentations to clients at located sites.
• Must have experience handling work related injuries.
• Customer service-oriented and have great bedside manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and other computer applications.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Experience working at construction sites is a plus.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster shot.
• Must be able to commute to Manhattan, NY (onsite).
• Must be able to work in adverse conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs+.
