VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a committed and compassionate Registered Nurse with occupational health experience to support the Office of Medical Services for private business in Jersey City, NJ. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a supportive environment. _

Responsibilities:

• Assessments in connection with injury on duty evaluations, which includes obtaining doctors' notes and test results.
• Scheduling appointments for fitness for duty evaluations.
• Conduct pre-placement physicals and annual physical evaluations.
• Participation in employee health wellness and safety fairs at various New York and New Jersey facilities and provide services including blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol screenings.
• Answer telephone calls and retrieve voicemail messages and respond accordingly.
• Monitor Medical Assistants to ensure appropriate tests are administered, as required by DOT.
• Review paperwork for accuracy and completion for the Physician or the Physician's Assistant evaluation.
• Ensure that all new hires are evaluated/assessed in a timely manner.

******Requirements:**

• Active RN license in NJ. Would be a big plus if licensed both NJ and NY.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in performing nursing assessments in occupational health, will also consider surgical nursing experience.

• Familiar with OSHA standards.

• Familiar with DOT Physical Exam.

• Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.

• BLS Certification.

• Customer service-oriented, able to work independently , have great 'bedside' manner.

• Proficient with computers and documenting in EMR systems.

• Must be up to date with Covid-19 vaccines including booster vaccine.

• Occasional availability to work on a Saturday for company events.
