Patient Care Coordinator (Burmese Speaking)

Job Location: Fort Wayne, IN. **
Job Type:** 1099 contract. **
Pay rate:** CNA, CMA, Phlebotomists, Paramedics $30/hr; LPN $35/hr. **
Schedule:** 4/25 and 1 day in May.

VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a committed and compassionate Burmese Speaking Patient Care Coordinator **** with experience in phlebotomy to assist patients in making referral appointments and perform skilled specimen collections for employees at private businesses in or around Fort Wayne, IN. **** We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a supportive environment.

Will consider an LPN, Phlebotomist, or a CNA/ MA and Paramedic with phlebotomy experience (Phlebotomy certificate preferred).
** Responsibilities:**

• Record patient information, including insurance information, and utilize electronic health records.
• Discuss and consult health history, diagnosis, and needs with patients.
• Educate patient on necessary steps for follow up care.
• Work with insurance companies, assisting with billing and coding. Obtain pre-approval for treatment.
• Establish and maintain relationships with service providers.
• Maintain professionalism and treat patients with respect.
• Perform/collect specimens accurately (phlebotomy).
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Collect data and create spreadsheets.

Requirements:

• Ability to speak Burmese is required.
• Must have phlebotomy experience. Certified phlebotomist preferred.
• Proven experience as a patient care coordinator/receptionist/front desk/ or other related medical scheduling experience. Familiarity with EMR system is a plus.
• Valid license/certification.
• Customer service-oriented and have great bedside manner.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working independently or with little to no supervision.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster shot.
• MUST bring own laptop/tablet to work.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Fort Wayne, IN .
