VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a committed and compassionate Medical Assistant with occupational health experience to support the Office of Medical Services for private business in Jersey City, NJ. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a supportive environment. _

Responsibilities:

• Administer various examinations/tests associated with pre-employment/promotional examinations, which includes EKG's, spirometry, vision testing, audiograms, phlebotomy and vital signs
• Perform annual physicals
• Enter testing results into online medical system daily
• Assist the physicians and nurses as needed
• Preparation of charts, labels and other associated paperwork
• Clean, maintain and perform quality assurance checks on equipment daily
• Ensure adequate supplies and restock patient rooms as necessary.
• Perform annual examinations for CDL
• Participation in employee health wellness and safety fairs at various New York and New Jersey facilities and provide services including blood pressure screenings.

******Requirements:**

• Active Medical Assistant certificate

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.

• Familiar with OSHA standards.

• Familiar with DOT Physical Exam.

• Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.

• BLS Certification.

• Customer service-oriented, able to work independently , have great 'bedside' manner.

• Proficient with computers and documenting in EMR systems.

• Must be up to date with Covid-19 vaccines including booster vaccine.

• Occasional availability to work on a Saturday for company events.
