Vitalis is looking for a In-Home Caregiver to provide personal care to a male client in the Silver Spring, Maryland. The Caregiver will provide companionship, personal care and assistance with community activities for this client at least once a week. The care to be provided will include:

• Companionship – sharing conversation and spending time together
• Personal care – assisting with bathing, dressing and, when necessary, continence support
• Helping with mobility – some customers need assistance getting around the home
• Overseeing medication – all according to the customer's care plan
• Household chores – help around the home, such as vacuuming or washing clothes
• Preparing and cooking meals
• Running errands – assisting with tasks such as shopping or picking up prescriptions
• Other medical support
• Assisting with community activities including swimming, games etc

Requirements include:

• Male caregiver preferred
• CNA, CMT, GNA or HHA Certification
• CPR, First Aide
• Cultural sensitivity
• Reliability and compassion
• Great interpersonal and communication ability
• Ability to drive and go on errands
• Ability to swim or be with client in community swimming pool
• Completion of Vitalis Online Training for new caregivers (must be completed within 2 weeks of starting the job).
