    Vitality Bowls Superfood Café is a national restaurant known for our delicious Açaí Berry bowls, labeled one of the world’s leading superfoods because of its high nutritional value and health benefits. Our full menu is made to order and the fresh ingredients and superfoods that Vitality Bowls offers are unlike any other fast-casual options in the Omaha area.

    A Shift Leader is the face of Vitality Bowls during their shift and confidently runs operations when a Manager is not on duty. Shift Leaders, in addition to basic responsibilities for Team Members, oversee delegation during shifts, troubleshoot customer service issues and resolve problems ensuring both client satisfaction and employee welfare. Our Shift Leaders are able to perform in a dynamic business environment and ensure that everything is under control during their shifts. Typical responsibilities include opening and/or closing the store, delegating daily staff positions, keeping track of inventory, and overseeing all general operations from greeting customers to the quality and speed of service.

    Duties:

    Oversee delegation during shifts, while leading the team and demonstrating proficiency on all restaurants positions.

    Show exemplary knowledge of the job by memorizing the training material and be able to explain to customers the health benefits of the ingredients in an upbeat and informative manner.

    Run shifts effectively to ensure quality products, guest service and restaurant cleanliness meet Vitality Bowls’ standards.

    Ensure safe operation of the kitchen equipment and adhere to safety/security guidelines.

    Maintain a clean, stocked, and tidy workspace.

    Participate in all opening and/or closing procedures.

    Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers and work as a team.

    Embrace excellent customer service and come to work with a positive attitude

    Job Requirements:

    Must achieve and maintain Food Handler Safety Training Certification.

    Handle a basic computer, POS system, cash and credit cards.

    Know and follow guidelines for safe and sanitary food handling, and for food allergy safety.

    Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements.

    Maintain a clean and work appropriate personal appearance.

    Stand for long periods of time, occasionally lift heavy boxes, move quickly and have a sense of urgency.

    Maintain exemplary attendance and take appropriate breaks.

    Attend all team member meetings.
