    Job Description

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    VIVA EVE seeks a highly organized, extremely detailed, adaptable, and resourceful Accounting Manager to oversee accounting at a dynamic and fast-growing women's health practice in Forest Hills, NY. This high-growth position will work under the leadership of and report directly to  the CFO, and will be responsible for general accounting, some tax and regulatory filings, interaction with a variety of supporting organizations,  a number of special projects and analytics for the entire company and its affiliates.

     

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Accounting Manager, and have experience managing transactions across multiple sites, business lines, and affiliated organizational structures.  A successful candidate in this role will wear many hats to help the company succeed during this phase of rapid growth. He or she must be able to self-direct and work independently, supervise others, enjoy troubleshooting, exhibit strong communication skills and work in teams. He or she should have excellent operational accounting experience and knowledge, and a proven history of establishing and driving process improvements. Startup and/or medical practice  experience is a plus. A genuine desire for professional and personal growth is a trait we hire for and foster in all positions.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

    • Ability to build an accounting and financial infrastruture for a scaling medical practice. Must enjoy creating process and procedures to assist the business in driving consistency in their accounting/finance practices
    • Enjoys creating solutions in a creative way in a privately held business that helps drive the business results as it relates to various stakeholders. ( Owners, Investors, Partners, etc)
    • Experience consolidating multi-entity balance sheets and overall financial statements
    • Provide internal leadership, ownership, analysis and comprehensive management - on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis - of all consolidated financial information for the company and affiliates of the company; this includes performing the following key  tasks and responsibilities:
      • Reporting: Generate consolidated financial statements and company KPIs on a weekly basis
      • Bookkeeping: coding transactions, reconciling bank statements
      • Operations: track and depreciate assets, manage relationship with bank and coordinate wires
      • Budgeting: implement policies and controls for spending money around a budget from CFO and track budgeted vs actuals
      • Forecasting: Maintaining pro forma financial statements and cash flow forecasts
      • Tax: Book to Tax analysis and reconciliations
      • Analytics: monitor and report on revenue and expense trends
    • Establish, challenge and improve the company's existing financial operations and processes with a focus on efficiency and scalability - ideally to a level of performance appropriate for a $50-100M revenue business
    • Provide timely support and guidance to all ad hoc corporate needs
    • Healthcare knowledge a plus

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
    • 5+ years senior level accounting experience in a multi-entity organization
    • Experience in general ledger accounting such as cash, fixed assets, other accruals, prepaids, opex and revenue
    • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP compliance and reporting
    • Experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues
    • Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills
    • Ability to figure out the nuances of revenue recognition and see how the details of the transactions roll up to the financial picture of the organization.
    • Must have worked in accounting/financial ambiguity and define the gaps/implement new processes and procedures for the organization
    • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
    • High level of confidentiality and discernment
    • Ability to think, act, and communicate professionally, proactively, and strategically
    • Excellent working knowledge of Excel
    • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online Plus
    • Some experience integrating new or additional SAAS or other systems
