    Position : Teacher for the Visually Impaired (Work From Home)
    Location : Remote/Work From Home
    Type : Independent Contract
    Duration : ASAP - June 2024

    Responsibilities: As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will play a vital role in empowering our students to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each visually impaired student.
    • Providing direct and specialized instruction in various subjects, adapting materials and methods to accommodate visual impairments.
    • Utilizing assistive technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences and accessibility.
    • Collaborating with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to education.
    • Conducting assessments and progress monitoring to track students' academic and developmental growth.

    Qualifications: We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual who possesses:

    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
    • An Arizona IVP Card with fingerprints on hand
    • Certification in Teaching for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or willingness to obtain certification.
    • Experience working with students who are visually impaired or blind, and a solid understanding of their unique learning needs.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

    VOCO Requirements:
    Must have valid license
    At least two years of school/pediatric experience
    Home computer with high internet speed
    Must be tech savvy (we do have onboarding sessions for the software!)
    Must provide your own liability insurance and be comfortable with being an independent contractor
