Minnesota School of Music is looking for two exceptional Voice Teachers to join our teaching team on Monday and Thursday evenings.
If you are a vocalist who enjoys helping kids and teens build confidence, develop their technique, and discover what they are capable of, this may be an excellent fit.
And unlike teaching independently, you get to focus on teaching.
Our full-time office staff handles the scheduling, billing, customer service, and marketing. We provide the students, the systems, the training, and the support. You bring your musicianship, professionalism, and ability to connect with young people.
THE POSITION
Minnesota School of Music is a professionally operated music school in Blaine, Minnesota, specializing exclusively in music lessons for kids and teens.
Our instructors deliver personalized, one-on-one, 30-minute lessons in a welcoming, family-focused environment.
We are currently hiring for two Voice Teacher positions.
Schedule
Monday: 3:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. Thursday: 3:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
Applicants should be available for both Monday and Thursday evening shifts. Saturday shifts are also available!

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Voice Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging, personalized, one-on-one 30-minute voice lessons
Teach healthy vocal technique, musicianship, repertoire, and performance skills
Adapt instruction to each student's age, experience, personality, and goals
Create a positive and encouraging lesson environment
Follow Minnesota School of Music educational and customer-service standards
Maintain student progress records
Help students prepare for seasonal recitals and performance opportunities
Participate in our student achievement program
Participate in instructor training and professional development
Communicate professionally with students, families, and the MnSOM team
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You may be a great fit if you:
Are a skilled vocalist with a strong understanding of healthy vocal technique
Genuinely enjoy working with children and teenagers
Can connect with beginning through intermediate students
Are dependable and highly professional
Communicate well with both students and parents
Are comfortable following an established teaching system
Accept coaching and actively work to improve your craft
Want to become a better teacher—not simply fill a few hours in your schedule
Are willing to make a minimum one-year commitment
Professional teaching experience is preferred, but we also welcome strong musicians who demonstrate the musicianship, communication skills, maturity, and potential to become excellent teachers.
No college degree is required.
