Voice Teacher — Monday & Thursday Evenings

Two Positions Available | Blaine, MN

    Love singing? Love teaching kids?

Minnesota School of Music is looking for two exceptional Voice Teachers to join our teaching team on Monday and Thursday evenings.

If you are a vocalist who enjoys helping kids and teens build confidence, develop their technique, and discover what they are capable of, this may be an excellent fit.

And unlike teaching independently, you get to focus on teaching.

Our full-time office staff handles the scheduling, billing, customer service, and marketing. We provide the students, the systems, the training, and the support. You bring your musicianship, professionalism, and ability to connect with young people.

Applicants should be available for both Monday and Thursday evening shifts. Saturday shifts are also available!

    Immediate opportunities are available.

WHY TEACH AT MINNESOTA SCHOOL OF MUSIC?

As a member of our teaching team, you receive:

An established school with students ready to learn

    Unemployment insurance

    W-2 employee status

    Employer-paid portion of FICA taxes

Seasonal performance opportunities for your students

    A structured student achievement program

A professional teaching environment built specifically for kids and teens

We invest in our instructors because great teachers are the foundation of a great music school.

Teach healthy vocal technique, musicianship, repertoire, and performance skills

Adapt instruction to each student's age, experience, personality, and goals

    WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Are a skilled vocalist with a strong understanding of healthy vocal technique

Genuinely enjoy working with children and teenagers

    Are dependable and highly professional

Communicate well with both students and parents

Are comfortable following an established teaching system

Accept coaching and actively work to improve your craft

Want to become a better teacher—not simply fill a few hours in your schedule

Are willing to make a minimum one-year commitment

Professional teaching experience is preferred, but we also welcome strong musicians who demonstrate the musicianship, communication skills, maturity, and potential to become excellent teachers.

    No college degree is required.

    OUR CULTURE

Minnesota School of Music is built around five core values:

    1. Audience First, Always

We serve the family like a performer serves the audience. It isn't about us; it's about them. Every decision reflects clarity, professionalism, and care.

    1. Own Your Part

If it's yours, you own it. We follow through, take responsibility, and do what we say—no excuses and no dropped notes.

    1. Play the Score

We don't improvise the fundamentals. We follow proven systems with consistency and discipline so every student receives a reliable, high-quality lesson experience.

    1. We're an Orchestra, Not a Solo Act

Great organizations work together. We stay aligned, follow the plan, communicate, and operate as one team.

    1. Stay in Tune

Great musicians keep listening and adjusting. We accept feedback, continue learning, and continually refine our craft.

THIS POSITION IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF...

You are primarily looking for a short-term gig, frequently change your availability, prefer to operate completely independently, or don't enjoy working with kids.

Our students and families count on consistency. We're looking for instructors who want to become an important part of their students' musical development.
