    Volcon ePowersports is currently hiring an Engineering Liaison for lead position within the Product Development Organization. This lead position will be responsible for coordinating engineering communications, ECOs, deviations, and new model introductions within our contract manufacturing partners. As part of a sustaining and new product introduction role, you will bridge the gap between all functional groups including engineering, quality, and operations to ensure successful production and product introductions.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Effectively manage and implement change orders to the production facility
    • Communicate quality and production metrics to leadership team on third party operations
    • Ensure production facilities adhere to engineering standards, deviation processes, and approved processes. 
    • Identify and communicate opportunities for design improvements for cost and quality. 
    • Domestic and International travel as needed to support supplier qualifications, launches, and development activities  <50%

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for qualification oversight of contract manufacturer
    • Implementation of ECOs and new product introductions
    • Management of deviation requests and oversight on A3 corrective actions
    • Reporting of cost, production, and quality metrics of contract manufacturing facilities
    • Audit and report on ISO/TS16949 compliance
    • Communicate with engineering team technical improvements, challenges or change requests

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years of mechanical engineering design or manufacturing experience
    • Solid understanding of GD&T
    • BS Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
    • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS
    • Proficiency in APQP
    • ISO/TS 16949 experience preferred
    • Operations, Quality, Supply chain development preferred but not required
    • Electromechanical, consumer product, or vehicle engineering experience preferred but not required
