Job Description

SUMMARY

This is an opportunity to join the senior executive team of a profitable high-growth company in a fun and high-impact industry. To support Volo’s ambitious expansion plans we are looking for a senior finance executive who can both build and lead our finance function and work closely with the CEO and President on business development and capital raising.

Strategic/Financial Planning and Business Development

• Oversee the financial and strategic planning of the company including forecasting and budgeting. Develop plans for financial growth
• Business model development & forecasting
• Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs. Prepare the company to pursue equity or debt funding
• Evaluate, structure, execute and finance acquisitions and strategic partnerships
• Define and implement key performance indicators and strategic objectives; facilitate measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team
• Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
• Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Analyze finances with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management and the Board of Directors
• Oversee preparation of detailed reports on the company’s financial performance - including revenue, AP & AR, and other monthly report
• Evaluate and manage risk
• Oversee audit processes

Oversee Financial Operations and Compliance

• Lead all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
• Hire, develop, retain and lead top talent
• Monitor internal controls
• Manage stripe payment processing system
• Managing all tax planning and tax compliance
• Managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance.
• Maintain compliance with City / State / Federal legal & business registrations

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong academic track record with degree in business, accounting, or economics; Master’s in business administration preferred
• 10-15 years business experience with a broad range of financial functions including in-house financial management and planning, external audit, financial transactions, and capital raising.
• Proven track record of hiring and developing top talent.
• Must have strong financial modeling skills, communication skills, and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, board of directors, and external capital sources
