    Job Description

Volta Biotech is a marijuana/cbd processing and refinement company. We can process 80 pounds every 20 minutes with food grade ethanol - possibly the biggest capacity in the state. On the CBD side we sell bulk CBD oil and water soluble ingredients to end-formulators nationwide (vb-labs.com). On the marijuana side we sell vape cartridges and our unique dose-controlled vaporizers called flowpens (voltacann.com). We are cashless and within Oklahoma deliver order and subscription orders with our small vans. Our automated packaging equipment can fill and cap 4000 flowpens an hour.

We just received our license after successfully passing all building inspections. Our main focus for the next 30 days is doing mass production for the first time and delivering orders for the marijuana side of the business. Next is to go live with the wholesale CBD product line.

We're looking for passionate and professional people to fill several lab generalist positions. We have fantastic chemists that need support with packaging products, forklift handling, and delivering product. Great for people that don't want to do the same thing every day and want to be part of a team.

All employees at least one day a week deliver products to retailers in the company delivery van which gives our skilled chemists an opportunity for variety in their work life, interact with customers, and get experience in a sales role/managing a territory role to understand a greater scope of the business. We soon need 7 drivers daily M-F to fill all orders.

    Requirements

1 Professional appearance required with company provided collared shirt, walk into dispensaries and be friendly to budtenders, collect a check for our product (no cash), and savvy enough on a phone to take a picture of product delivered

2 Only candidates already living in the okc metro with reliable transportation to and from work, job is pending ability to get transportation license which requires Oklahoma residency the past 2 years or 5 years continuous in the past 25 years by providing utility bills, tax returns, or current rental agreement

3 Must have clean driving record the last three years

4 Be comfortable on a forklift for loading the grinder with super sacks of plant material, loading and unloading bulk packaging on pallet racking, unloading a semi of hemp plant material

5 Preferably type over 30 wpm

Fork lift driving test and typing test will be done onsite during the interview.

    Option A

Science background individuals to also be trained to do our lab processes - cryogenically cold ethanol extraction, decarboxylation, distillation, homogenizing, and spray drying processes. We also have an analytical HPLC to help with product formulation and verifying plant material from farmers.

Bonus if you already experienced with cannabis processing and wants to work with larger equipment, automated packaging, and help bring to market many new products in marijuana and CBD this year (vapes, gummies, tinctures, stick packs, bulk CBD ingredients) and be a part of the customer service team (added 6% bonus monthly).

    Option B

Comfortable on a forklift and keen on manual labor helping chemists. Bonus if you're mechanically inclined and can help troubleshoot equipment with your hvac, welding, or electrical background.

    Option C

You don't fit A or B but still want to contribute to the team and realize most days you'll be driving a small van on a planned route delivering the product and interacting with customers. There is no sales only role at Volta. We have a custom website and email service that encourages dispensaries to place an order on their account, sends order confirmation, sends out for delivery confirmation, then we take a picture of the delivered goods and send it in an order delivered email. Dispensaries save 5% if they subscribe to weekly deliveries. It's like Vital Proteins and Amazon combined for cannabis.

Requirements After submitting your application you'll receive an email for part two to answer the questions below. APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE PART TWO. These answers give us clues that are even more important than your resume. It basically saves you and us time to help interview candidates before the actual interview. Thank you!

1 Are you more option A science background can help with operating the equipment? Option b mechanically inclined and can fix things and feel very comfortable on a fork lift? Or option c don't know how to operate the lab equipment but you're a cannabis enthusiast and want to mostly do deliveries and help with packaging?

From option a, b, or c explained above, which do you more fit into?

2 Do you have cryogenic ethanol extraction/decarb/distillation experience? Please explain.

3 Do you have analytical chromatography experience? We have an onsite HPLC with autosampler to help us formulate products and test plant material for farmers in our farmer network.

4 Do you have product formulation experience? Specifically vape cartridge, gummies, tinctures, or powder formulation experience?

5 We want people comfortable handling general tasks to help our small team do business. Sometimes it’s getting parts, packaging products, delivering product, etc. We have 4 full time employees and 5 part time. We plan to have 25 full time by the end of the year. Still, we are a small company. If someone needs your help, will you be helpful?
