Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
· Involved in the development of facilities, work areas and work procedures
· Makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly.
· Responsible for maintaining and updating environmental and policy and procedure manuals.
· Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations.
· Keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
· Serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.
· Create & Implement safety trainings and safety recognition programs
· Maintain and organize documentation of employee trainings
· Maintain and seek out current information on safety and environmental regulations through online and in person resources and trainings
· Regularly update IIPP with facility specific JSA’s
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 4-7 years of HSE experience in Manufacturing or Construction industry.
· Microsoft Suite proficiency, Excel is a must
· Proven Safety Training experience for large groups
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing.
· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
· Personable demeanor to gain trust and encourage safety among employee population
· Work well in urgent or emergency situations
· Ability to work autonomously and under general supervision.
PREFERENCES:
· OSHA 30 Hour Certification
· CPR & AED Certification
