  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Receiving Lead Coordinator, the Material Handler ensures seamless processing of incoming materials for the manufacturing plant.  They work with the Lead to coordinate inbound truck schedules considering dock or unloading space, the team’s workload, and the needs of our manufacturing team.  They will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of inbound paperwork and perform visual inspections of items received. This individual will work very closely with the purchasing and materials teams.  

    • Coordinate with Team Lead on Inbound truck schedules considering dock/unloading space, receiving team’s workload, and the needs of the manufacturing plant
    • Safely unload and handle delivered material
    • Verify inbound items against the purchase order and sign all receiving documentation
    • Enter the purchase order into the ERP system on time & accurately when directed to by the Team Lead
    • Document any delivery discrepancies and report them to purchasing and manufacturing
    • Report and document any visible defects immediately
    • Report and document any physical damage caused by team members, vendors, or 3rd parties immediately
    • Inform management of any unprofessional behavior of team members, vendors, or 3rd parties
    • File documents accurately
    • Support implementation of the ERP system
    • Other tasks as required

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS 

    • Monday through Friday work schedule
    • Must be comfortable in a factory environment  
    • Physical Requirements: Walking / Standing / Stooping / Kneeling / Climbing / Pulling / Pushing / Repetitive lifting

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 2 years of experience in warehouse operations in manufacturing environment  
    • Experience working with ERP systems for receiving (preferably SAP) 
    • Forklift experience  is required
    • Able to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to work individually and as a team member able to carry out duties safely & comfortably
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers
