    STEP, Inc. is always looking for compassionate, reliable individuals who want to give back by volunteering their time and talents. Volunteer opportunities vary based on community needs and program availability and may include working with children, seniors, families, or assisting with agency operations and special events.

    Available Volunteer Roles

    Volunteer opportunities may include, but are not limited to:

    PSP Volunteer

    Senior Meals / Meals on Wheels Volunteer

    Classroom Volunteer (Head Start / Early Head Start & Life's Academy)

    Office / Administrative Volunteer

    Maintenance & Grounds Volunteer

    VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Volunteer

    Volunteer roles and schedules vary based on program needs, background requirements, and availability.

    What Volunteers Do

    Support STEP programs and services serving children, families, seniors, and the community

    Provide assistance under the direction of STEP staff

    Serve as positive representatives of STEP within the community

    Follow all applicable safety, confidentiality, and program guidelines

    Who Can Volunteer

    Individuals 18 years or older (some roles may have additional age requirements)

    Ability to work respectfully with diverse populations

    Dependable and willing to complete required screenings or training

    Background checks may be required for certain volunteer roles (especially those working with children or vulnerable populations)
