The Manager for Benefits and Human Resources Administration will be responsible for planning the day-to-day operations of benefits and wellness programs (medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plan and retirement plans). The manager must be able to balance collaborating with a small HR team and working independently to provide excellent solutions, often confidential client consultation in a fast-paced work environment. Central to this role is providing quality benefits plans, investigating new benefits and wellness programs, improving existing programs, monitoring benefits administration, as well as designing employee benefits plans, and providing analytical and technical support in the delivery of these programs. In addition, this self-motivated and detail oriented manager will be responsible for working with the Director to review and process all HR-related invoices, inclusive of retiree billing. The manager who will serve in an administrative capacity on the College’s investment committee, must also be able to deliver presentations to audiences of varying sizes, possess competence in effective planning and priority setting, as well as manage several complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in a residential program for individuals with mental retardation or intellectual disabilities. Experience in a residential setting with other types of special needs populations may be considered (i.e. cerebral palsy, Autism, Alzheimer’s, Traumatic Brain Injury).
Medication Administration Certification in the State of Virginia is a plus.
NOTE: A bonafide occupational exception may be established for this position based upon sex/gender when it is necessary to ensure that at least one female and one male are on duty during each shift.
OTHER:
This position requires driving your personal vehicle for company business. Must be privileged to drive according to the criteria set forth by Agency MVR guidelines.
