OFFICE OF DIVERSION & RE-ENTRY (ODR)
Our mission is to successfully habilitate eligible individuals by diverting them from the traditional criminal justice system and providing them with the tools they need to lead a productive and law-abiding lifestyle while improving mental health recovery and successful re -entry into the community.
JAIL IN-REACH
Jail in Reach - will provide targeted services to the most vulnerable Medi-Cal populations in Los Angeles County through interventions and work force strategies incorporated into the program. This program will bring together health and social service providers across the County to build a more client-centered and community-based system of care, and deliver seamless, integrated and coordinated care to the County's neediest populations. The vision of this program is to provide a holistic recovery model for Justice-Involved Populations (Individuals reintegrating into the community from the Los Angeles County Jail or California State Prison).
JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
The Outreach Specialist is responsible is responsible for promoting the program throughout the surrounding areas, supporting ODR clients in need of crisis intervention methods in order to prepare individuals for further success. Conducts community outreach to develop resources to support clients and their families. Part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides case management, housing referral, financial counseling and benefits services.
