The Role The RCM is a new position created to provide direct support to our regional teams. This role will report to the new Senior Director of Communications as part of the Communication team, which also includes a Managing Director and Digital Director. In addition to writing and publishing a variety of communications content to support regional policy and regulatory campaign initiatives, the RCM will own the coordination and implementation of multichannel communications strategies. In their first year, this role will prioritize becoming an expert in our digital tools and gaining a deep understanding of our campaign priorities and how best to communicate them to our key audiences.

WHAT YOUVE ACCOMPLISHED
Three to five years of experience in either digital organizing, fundraising, advocacy campaigns or a demonstrated track record that matches this experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in advocacy, DEIJ, fundraising, or other issue-driven areas.
Experience developing and implementing multi-channel communications activities for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in learning and growing skills in digital tools, data management, and analytics.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload and handle several tasks simultaneously.
Ability to learn and communicate about energy policy and the policymaking process.
Comfortable working in a remote team setting, with demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and driven.

The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $72,000. Vote Solar provides full-time staff with a competitive package, including 3 weeks of paid vacation in year one and 4 weeks starting in year two, 12 days of sick leave and 4 days of personal leave. We also offer 100% employer-provided health, dental and vision care for both the employee and dependents; a retirement savings plan and an employer match of up to 3.5%; and a paid parental and medical leave policy for full-time staff who have worked for Vote Solar for at least one year.
Location We are hiring for two people in this role, one based in the Pacific or Mountain time zone, and one based in the Central or Eastern time zone. This position can be remote, but there is a preference for individuals based in one of our regional offices or able to visit regularly: Oakland, California; Denver, Colorado; Chicago, Illinois; Washington, DC; Boston, Massachusetts; New York, New York. During the COVID-19 pandemic, all Vote Solar staff have been working from home and have ceased work travel. When it is safe to do so, this position will require some regional and national travel (plan for a few trips per year).
