Full Stack WordPress/Web Developer
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Full Stack WordPress/Web Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, customizing and maintaining (primarily) WordPress-based websites and applications, in addition to working with marketing teams to integrate with 3rd Party marketing automation environments.
Responsibilities:
• Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins and blocks using best practices
• Implement custom functionality, features and integrations into WordPress sites
• Optimize WordPress sites for performance, security, scalability and SEO
• Diagnose and debug issues with WordPress core, plugins, themes and infrastructure
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting WordPress sites and applications
• Collaborate with designers and stakeholders throughout the design and development process
• Keep up to date with the latest WordPress technologies, trends and security issues
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience building fully responsive websites and applications using WordPress.
• Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS coding skills
• Experience with Advanced Custom Fields Pro (ACF), WooCommerce and the Gutenberg editor
• Understanding of WordPress theme development and customization
• Experience with REST API integrations in WordPress
• Knowledge of WordPress optimization and security best practices
• Ability to solve complex problems and implement elegant solutions
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and SEO best practices and tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Nice to Have:
• Experience integrating marketing automation environments with WordPress sites.
• Experience working with 3rd party marketing automation builders (Hubspot, Pardot, Marketo)
• Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
• Certifications in SEO or web analytics
• Agency experience managing SEO and analytics for multiple clients
