    COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM MANAGER LOCATION(S): Washington, DC CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Secret CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: PMP YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 15+ DEGREE: MA/MBA/MS in Communications related field FT/PT: Full Time

    We need motivated candidates with extensive communications, public affairs and program management experience to support an upcoming senior level defense public affairs contract. This position will support command communications activities, including:

    • Managing the scope, workflow, schedule, budget and personnel on a mid-size strategic communications support contract.
    • Oversee all task areas of contract including tasks such as: Media Analysis, Communication Planning and Products, Executive Level Communications, Training and Event and Exhibit Planning and execution.
    • Manage staff at all levels from junior to senior level, ensure tasks are completed on time and at the highest level of quality.
    • Manage relationships with company subcontractors.
    • Support bi-weekly, monthly, and annual contract reporting.

    The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

    • Excellent writing, researching, planning and verbal communications skills.
    • Excellent customer relations skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior level military and government officials and assist them in the process of communicating command messages.
    • Understanding of strategic communications, preferably in the military space.
    • Ability to organize and mange workflows and schedules, prioritizing work based on deadlines, schedules and management guidance.
    • Experience supporting Senior level military and government leaders.
    • Understanding of Communications research and it’s use to inform communications planning.
    • Understanding of the Associated Press style guide.
    • Understanding of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
