    Position Summary

    Local VoxKids Directors develop and advance children’s ministry at their local Vox Church through execution of dynamic programming, discipleship of children and volunteers, leading volunteer teams, and investment in families. VoxKids exists to draw children to the wonder of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to partner with parents to lead children in a life of lasting faith.

    Ephesians 4:12 - Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    VoxKids Sunday Programming:

    Prepare curriculum lesson plans and supplemental resources for dynamic Sunday VoxKids programming.

    Recruit, train, and equip a team of volunteers to execute Sunday morning programming with effective teaching of the bible story and activities, discipleship of children and classroom management that promotes a safe and inviting classroom environment.

    Support and equip volunteers by providing encouragement, resources, feedback and demonstrations of appreciation.

    Maintain inventory of VoxKids classroom furniture, toys/books, and supplies, as well as merchandise and print material. Update and purchase items as needed.

    Visit classes for the purpose of evaluation and teacher support.

    Implement campus-specific protocols for the safety and security of children, including the following: check-in and check-out protocol, emergency and safety preparedness procedures, and security measures that ensure kids space is off limits to the general public.

    Ensure VoxKids policies and procedures are being implemented with fidelity.

    Continually assess your VoxKids ministry and develop and execute strategies to strengthen and grow the ministry.

    Family Discipleship:

    Develop, prepare, and execute family engagement touch points and new family connections/initiatives.

    Facilitate opportunities that connect parents to parenting groups, milestone classes, and family community groups to equip and encourage family discipleship.

    Plan and execute family milestone moments (i.e. child dedications) and family events/gatherings.

    Administrative:

    Check and promptly respond to emails, voicemails, and mail received.

    Ensure thorough and efficient communication with parents regarding updates, curriculum details, and events via newsletters, emails, flyers, social media, etc.

    Maintain current records and databases for volunteer connections, contact information, background checks, and rosters.

    Maintain current records for family contact information.

    Communicate the needs of the childrens’ ministry to manger(s) and church leaders, as is appropriate.

    Develop and manage site specific VoxKids budget and expenses.

    Oversee and coordinate classroom repairs, updates and purchase of any supplies.

    Local Campus Expectations:

    Attends Directional Team meetings, weekly check-in’s with Campus Pastors, and weekly staff and prayer meetings.

    Participates in the life of and worship at Vox Church.

    Performs other duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor that contributes to the administration and life of the Church.

    Central VoxKids Expectations

    Partner with Central Kids Director to pilot ongoing new initiatives in programming, structure, branding, outreach, and team discipleship.

    Participate in ongoing VoxKids directional team meetings for spiritual, leadership, personal, and professional development.

    Review and maintain ministry that aligns with Central VoxKids ministry goals and expectations.

    Participate in Central VoxKids events as needed (i.e., Worship Nights, Christmas, Central/Regional baptisms, etc.).
