  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Accounting will lead the accounting operations of the business, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting and General Ledger teams totaling fifteen people today. The VP of Accounting will lead the accounting for three legal entities, working with all levels of management and internal partners including accountants and auditors. This is a full-time role that will be responsible for the accounting functions to develop timely, accurate and meaningful financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have thorough understanding of and ability to apply US GAAP, a strong knowledge of the
    critical business processes of a multi-channel apparel brand and a desire to lead and develop a team. Vuori is growing quickly; the ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build teams and process for scale while working within a start-up environment.

    • Manage all accounting operations including GL, A/R (including Credit), A/P, Cash, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets
    • Direct and oversee month-end and year-end close process, improving existing processes to deliver a 5-day close and consolidation.
    • Create scalable business processes with an emphasis on internal controls and business process documentation, assuring that our Accounting & Control environment meets the highest public-company standards.
    • Oversee preparation of financial statements, including inter-company eliminations, associated flux analyses, as well as other analyses in support of performance assessment.
    • Implement strong reporting and processes around the Company’s Capital investments, particularly related to our retail stores.
    • Partner with Tech and BI teams to optimize financial reporting.
    • Research and apply technical accounting standards, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
    • Coordinate the annual audit with internal partners and external auditors.
    • Manage the company’s excess cash consistent with investment policies and short-term cash flow forecasts.
    • Oversee key admin areas such as insurance, leases, and contracts.
    • Work closely with HR and payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration
    • CPA License (inactive OK), Public Accounting experience preferred.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in progressive accounting roles, 5 years in a leadership position within a public company
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows)
    • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in order to meet deadlines.
    • Flexible team player that enjoys hands on responsibilities, with a focus on process implementation & improvement
    • Thorough understanding of ERP and accounting software, experience with Full Circle a plus
    • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (especially Excel).
    • Ability to be proactive, a self-starter.

    Additional Information

    Pay: from $225,000 - $275,000
