W.W. Gay Mechanical has an opportunity for a Virtual Design & Construction Detailer. Position Summary:

This position entails transforming finished product designs using virtual design and construction (VDC) into fabrication working documents.

Reports to: VDC Manager and/or VDC Operations Manager

Non-Exempt, Hourly

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reset and renumber hangers (metal threaded rod with clevis hanger that hold pipe) in drawings. ·

Isolate piping systems and create drawings packages based on provided criteria.

Use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word ·

Ability to understand and complete tasks issued on our system. ·

Ability to take direction from VDC & Operations Manager

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications: N/A

Education and Experience:

Mid-level to advanced computer skills ·

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word ·

0–1-year experience in Autodesk Revit Mechanical & Plumbing (MEP) ·

Working knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical & Plumbing

Physical Requirements: ·

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. ·

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
