W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor is looking to hire several pre-apprentices for our upcoming work in the next six months. The most important qualification for the position is to be willing to work safely, diligently, and have a positive attitude.

This position places applicants in an advantageous position to apply to become a part of UA Local 234, our area’s plumbers and pipefitters union. The pay, pension, and benefits of membership in Local 234 exceeds that of most, if not all non-union positions in the area. Applicants will also receive a significant amount of training that will be relevant throughout all areas of the construction industry. You must be able to climb a ladder, and lift 40 pounds overhead.

Compensation for the position is $12 per hour. Applicants who excel in the position can expect to receive an increase in hourly rate to $12 - $17 shortly after beginning.
