Job Description

Our small firm in Temecula, CA is looking to add a self-motivated, experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to our team. Previous work experience, along with a degree in Accounting and CPA license are required for this role. Knowledge in Lacerte software is a plus. We provide full service tax and accounting services. The variety of our client base provides a broad range of experience for our staff. We do not departmentalize, so you will work on accounting, tax, and consulting engagements. THIS POSITION IS OPEN FOR PARTNERSHIP POTENTIAL.

Responsibilities and duties –

• Preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for individual, corporation, partnership, and trust
• Preparation of tax projection
• Assistance with IRS audit and tax notice response
• Financial statement preparation, compilation, and reviews (no audits)
• Development and management of client relationship

Required qualifications –

• Active CPA license with minimum 6 years experience in public accounting and tax return preparation
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
• Strong problem-solving, and decision making abilities
