Drafting Assistant (Virtual, Full-time Position)

SUMMARY
This position handles the incoming queue for drafting requests from WealthCounsel members who wish to outsource their drafting. It combines customer interaction, problem solving, and paralegal skills. The ideal candidate will be familiar with WealthCounsel’s drafting solutions, with experience drafting estate planning and corporate legal documents and handling a wide range of customer support issues. This position may also help support the content support queue and assist with software training needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for a Drafting Assistant include the following:
Acting as the initial point of contact for members who wish to outsource the drafting of their WealthCounsel documents
Meeting with members to review and note drafting preferences
Reviewing design sheets and drafting documents as directed by members, with great attention to detail and project deadlines
Reviewing and editing documents drafted by other drafting assistants
Notifying members when drafted documents are ready for review
Managing queue of all document drafting requests
Ensuring members are heard and supported throughout the drafting process
Becoming an expert for all drafting solutions available through WealthCounsel
Constantly seeking to become more efficient when drafting documents
Acting as support to Product Implementation Manager and Content Support Manager
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 - 4 years of recent experience working in a law firm
Experience using Wealth Docx, Business Docx, or Gun Docx preferred
Paralegal Certification highly preferred
Ability to interact with members in a polite, professional, and supportive manner, balancing being responsive with managing expectations
Excellent organization and flexibility
Desire and ability to enjoy being on the front line of customer service
Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, proofreading skills, and attention to detail are crucial
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Willingness and demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
Advanced skills using Microsoft Word are preferred
Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
