About the Role:
Cal Process Welding Inc is looking for a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team in Modesto, CA! This is a hands-on opportunity to work with a dedicated crew on challenging and rewarding fabrication and welding projects. Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to plan and execute welds
Fit, align, and tack weld structural and process piping components to specifications
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials
Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements
Operate hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment to prepare and finish weld joints
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality goals
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter in an industrial, structural, or process piping environment
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and weld symbols
Experience fitting and aligning pipe, plate, or structural steel components
Knowledge of welding safety practices and PPE requirements
AWS certification or equivalent welding certifications preferred
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude
