The Department of Natural Resources, DNR IT Custom Application Development Section seeks to
hire two Microsoft .NET Web Developer III’s to design, develop, test, implement and maintain
solutions and features for applications in Microsoft .NET environment along with designing and
implementing Oracle database in support of the application. The developer needs to provide reliable,
responsive support for these projects and systems as developed along with existing system support
as assigned. This work requires @40 hrs./week) work for a candidate with advanced developer
skillsets and experience. The position will be working on new development, enhancements and/or
providing support for existing applications as determined by agency priorities. There are multiple
initiatives to develop new applications and to redesign legacy applications to meet current business
needs with supported technologies.

Job duties:
This position will work at the direction of the DNR IT Custom Applications and Development Section
Supervisors, DNR Application Architect Lead, Business Relationship Manager, Project Manager, and
program Leads, utilizing DNR IT standards, software, and tools. Tasks of this position include, but are not
limited to:
1\. Orienting oneself to current applications including .Net and/or PowerBuilder, technical debt, and
current backlog. This includes reviewing code, documentation, setting up locally and talking with others to
understand functionality and business needs.
2\. Design and develop application leveraging DNR standards, best practices and modernized design for
performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, accessibility and secure coding practices while
