Job Title: Principal SW QA Engineer – System Test (Cloud/AI) 

Job Location: US (California is preferred)  

As a part of this function, the R&D System Test team, which is responsible for evaluating quality, security, usability, compatibility, scalability, reliability, and performance of products and solutions. 

We are looking for a skilled System Test engineer with the right balance of talent, passion and pragmatism to help ensure Cloud and AI products meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. 

You will collaborate with other system test engineers as well as development engineers, functional test engineers, program managers, product managers, customer support engineers and our sales staff.  

In this role you will: 

• Author and?execute?high level and detailed?test plans, test cases?and?system?test?scenarios.? 

• Evaluate and understand customer?requirements?and customer system architectures across multiple industries and incorporate into customer focused system exploratory testing.? 

• Maintain and execute automated test scripts. (Automated test infrastructure configuration and automated system test execution).  

• Contribute to our team’s?innovation by?generating?new product ideas, testing tools?and processes for improving?the efficiency of our execution and validation processes.? 

Qualifications  

• 10+?years of experience working in a?software functional?test?or system?test?role?for enterprise?software products and platforms.  

• Experience working in?cloud-based?Development and?Test?environments?and?with?cloud-based products. Microsoft Azure experience is?required?and?Amazon AWS experience?is?also desired.? 

• Experience testing distributed client/UI?and server software using C, C++ and/or C# on Windows Platforms including experience with COM/DCOM?and?.NET?dev/test environments. Hands on experience working?with Linux operating systems is a plus.? 

• Testing experience in a virtualized environment including VMWare (ESX,?VSphere, and?VCloud) and Microsoft Hyper-V is a must. Experience with testing High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Fault Tolerant architectures is desirable.? 

• Technical/Engineering?education?background (BS or MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering is preferred).? 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with?the?ability to articulate problems?and solutions to internal and external people. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Hands on experience?with?Industrial Automation (HMI/SCADA) software solutions,?MES (Manufacturing Execution System),?process control, PLC programming,?IIoT?(Industrial Internet of Things), and/or instrumentation.  

• System Integrator?or other Industrial Automation software?direct implementation and operation?experience. 

• Experience in testing software focused on data analytics, machine learning and/or AI. 

• Experience?working with containers like Docker and container orchestration?like Kubernetes. 

• Experience with test automation?and load testing?frameworks and?tools (Selenium, Microsoft Coded UI Test, PowerShell scripts and JMeter are used in-house). 

• Experience?working?in an Agile software development environment.
