Job Title: Technical Project Manager - Global
Job Location: Southern California Only (Pacific time zone)
Full time employee position
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for building, managing, and guiding teams of diverse resources (business analysts, developers, quality analysts, etc.) from different countries/time zones to deliver end-to-end software development services to our global clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with global sourcing recruiters and talent management personnel from different countries to guide/participate in recruitment activities. Participate in technical interviews and support the business unit in making hiring decisions.
- Work with offshore development centers/teams in China/India/Taiwan and the US/Canada engineers to form global delivery teams.
- Participate in project meetings and client meetings to ensure on time project delivery and identify new business opportunities.
- Support business development activities from technical perspectives.
- Work with account managers and business development managers in the US/Taiwan/China and provide the required technical expertise.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related fields with 5+ years of relevant experience in software development/project management in cloud/web-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with developing enterprise software, defining software architecture / strategy, and leading software development teams.
- Practical experience of Lean and/or Agile software development practices and methodologies.
- Experience with various cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience/knowledge of various front-end/back-end technology stacks (open source, Microsoft, etc.).
- Capable of learning new technologies quickly from structured/high level perspectives.
- Ability to perform technical interviews to build teams and engage with clients.
- Innovation and creativity –demonstrated willingness to understand innovative ideas and to apply new insights to existing situations.
- Strong sense of initiative and urgency – track record of self-starting, accomplishing tasks; improving current work processes, and assisting others to achieve goals.
- Communication – ability to communicate undefined concepts and ideas clearly and concisely.
