Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Our Maintenance Technicians are the key to the success of our properties. Duties of the Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to electrical, plumbing, soldering/braising, diagnosing and repairing of appliances, drywall/patching/texturing, painting, locks and re-keying, some carpentry, ceramic tile, vinyl flooring installation and repair. In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for turning apartments and assisting in projects as needed.
What Will You Be Doing?
General apartment maintenance including, but not limited to:
Electrical - relay switches, fan motors, run capacitors and conversions
Plumbing - slab leaks, angle stop replacements, hot water heater replacements, faucets
Drywall - patching and texturing
Locks & Rekeying
Appliance - troubleshooting and repairing dishwashers, refrigerators, garbage disposals, and washers/dryers
Apartment Turns
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
2 years’ of experience in construction/handyman or general maintenance/contractor experience
Lift up to 50 pounds
Observe all company procedures and safety rules
Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction
Able to plan, organize and follow through on work
Friendly, personable, and professional demeanor at all times
Self-starter who demonstrates professionalism and can work independently
Valid driver's license
What Are We Looking For?
Apartment maintenance experience is required
HVAC Certification preferred but not required
Must be able and willing to work one weekend day
Must be available for an on-call rotation
