    Position Summary: $50,000+ per year

    The Workout Anytime General Manager is responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the club; including sales performance, profitability, member satisfaction, asset management, fiscal responsibility and compliance, and employee training and development. The General Manager will ensure the fiscal effectiveness of all profit centers and provide leadership to accomplish overall departmental and club objectives. The General Manager will work hand in hand with each team member to guarantee operational excellence.

    Greet all members by name

    Regularly walks the floor to shake hands and build rapport with our valued members and guests

    Responds quickly and courteous to member issues and concerns

    Understands the company’s Mission Statement, core values and overall culture of the business, leading by example and holding all employees accountable to the Standards of Workout Anytime

    Creates a positive and healthy workplace that fosters constant and never-ending improvement

    Whenever possible meet and greet all guests (potential members) and always ensure all guests complete the guest courtesy card

    Interview all members who are canceling their memberships in an to attempt to determine the reason for their dissatisfaction, and possibly retain them as members

    Conduct a walk-through of their club hourly to ensure that the equipment, locker rooms and overall facility maintenance are meeting WOAT standards

    Follow all club policies and procedures as per employee handbook

    Live and promote our Company Standards

    Confirm all tour/appointments for the following day

    Works in collaboration with the sales team to ensure the club is meeting or exceeding the daily, monthly and yearly membership forecasts

    Ensure each full-time Fitness Consultant generates a minimum of five (5) appointments per day, with the goal being ten (10)

    Ensure each part-time Fitness Consultant generates a minimum of two (2) appointments per day, with the goal being five (5)

    Through member referrals, marketing, and community outreach the GM will personally generate at least 50% of club tours necessary to achieve new member enrollment goals

    Convert at least 70% of incoming telephone inquiries to appointments for club tour

    Generate a minimum of five (5) appointments per day, with the goal being ten (10).

    Enroll at least 80% of all touring prospects

    Schedule at least 60% of all new members for a complimentary Success Session with appropriate Fitness Department staff

    Maintains managerial oversight for all departments and communicates regularly with department heads regarding the performance of each department

    Schedule all front desk employees and sales team to ensure the club is staffed properly to hit their goals while staying within the parameters of the payroll budgets

    Provides feedback and positive reinforcement on a regular basis to encourage and motivate the staff

    Holds a production meeting daily with the membership and personal training departments to manage the KPI’s of those departments, and coaches and trains the staff on what that departments must to do to attain our goals

    Conduct weekly staff meetings to reinforce team building, education, and communicate the team’s KPI’s

    Conducts written reviews of all employees – quarterly

    Oversee member service and sales staff to ensure they display a friendly, attentive and service oriented approach to all members

    Ensure all prospect/guest information is entered in the club management software system and complete all required tracking forms and processes

    Communicate with staff through meetings, memo books, Slack, Get Guru, emails and direct contact to ensure they are kept up to date on developments that affect club operations and or the member experience

    Manage and lead the retention strategy and systems including weekly reporting. Communicate the findings to the entire staff

    Create and update Member Service schedules to ensure proper coverage and a world-class member experience

    Calculate, enter, and submit payroll for the club staff

    Clock in and out for all hours worked including all breaks, lunch, etc. Ensure the entire clubs staff does so as well

    Arrange meetings with underperforming staff to provide a coaching session and a progress improvement plan

    Conduct on-going member service and sales training with all associates

    All other duties as required

    Requirements:

    Demonstrated ability to sell and train others to sell

    This job operates in a high-paced health club environment

    Flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work assignments

    Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and members

    Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures

    Proficiency in computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

    This is a non-exempt, full-time position with varied hours based on business needs. This position requires night and weekend hours

    Strong attention to detail

    Outgoing personality with a love to serve and please customers

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position is responsible for the leadership, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, performance management for the entire club staff

    Travel:

    There is very little travel in this position. The employee may be asked to travel to banks, office supply stores, other clubs, or to corporate for meetings.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This role will require walking and standing during entire shift. This position can require you to remain stationary for long periods of time. This position will require the ability to lift weights, 5lbs up to 100lbs and bend or stand as necessary. This position will also require frequent washing of hands and partial or full cleaning of the equipment, facility, and locker rooms.     Education and Experience:

    Minimum of a high school diploma and college preferred.

    Previous fitness industry experience is a plus.

    Minimum of 2 years as a manager or supervisor
