    Job Description

    WONGDOODY is looking for a Client Partner to join our growing team. This position will be based out of New York but will spend a majority of their time at a Global Telecom client in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. 

    This digital transformation leader will have a proven track record of addressing digital transformation opportunities for telecom companies, driving value for partners, employees, and consumers.  Candidates should have a great command of, not only retail and technology, but also have a keen understanding customer experience and user experience design. Understanding of omni-channel marketing is a must, as is understanding and experience in partnering with both internal agency teams and client teams alike. A well-qualified candidate will have telecom industry experience and/or digital agency experience with a proven record of leading and managing a team, growing business and relationships as well as deep experience with complex UX initiatives.   

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • You will sit on-site at the client office as part of the integrated client partner team organization, while still representing the agency and providing connection across both worlds.
    • Act as senior level strategic partner to your clients; own client relationships and build the respect and trust of your integrated client services team. 
    • Drive thought leadership and strategic deliverables for the future of the brand, and be able to identify strategic digital opportunities and great transformative solutions in their infancy. 
    • Be able to engage with clients across business units from marketing to sales to supply chain to help internally sell a campaign end to end.  
    • Build business and marketing plans that align with client goals and objectives. 
    • Be able to identify gaps and see openings to bring agency solutions to bear that will drive business growth and revenue.  
    • Have a pulse on both client and agency business and understand dependencies that could affect/change dynamics of the relationship.   
    • Present creative and strategic points of view to client, guiding them to the best solutions for their business. 
    • Manage development and execution of a variety of initiatives; have the ability to schedule work and balance priorities for the efficient flow of work. 
    • Play a leadership role in driving the internal creation/production process across all applicable channels. 
    • Assume fiscal responsibility for client profitability and cost management.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Four-year degree in advertising, marketing, communications or a related field. 
    • 10+ years of experience in account management, marketing or business development at an ad agency, telecom industry, design firm or marketing-related firm. 
    • Experience across multiple brands and channels; digital savvy a must. 
    • Excellent people and relationship-building skills. Ability to function as both a member and leader of the team.  
    • Ability to develop a strong and trustworthy relationship with clients.
    • High energy but able to stay calm under pressure. 
    • Ability to lead teams and be a strategic thinker. 
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a positive attitude with team members and clients in stressful situations. 
    • Ability to evaluate creative work from both a strategic and executional perspective. 
    • Ability to use persuasive, creative selling techniques to position recommendations to client. 
    • Confidence leading client meetings and providing internal feedback. 
    • Understanding of project management fundamentals such as budget and deadline management. 
    • A sense of humor!  
    • Proven examples of managing project teams in either an agile or waterfall workflow environment.
