Job Description
WONGDOODY is looking for a Manager of PR & Marketing to join our Marketing Team. This role will work directly with the Chief Marketing Officer to drive brand exposure, awareness and demand of WONGDOODY and the WONGDOODY + Infosys partnership. The role also includes support of WONGDOODY’s involvement in Infosys related campaigns and events, helping to lead an integrated, multi-office team with an ability to manage moving parts and keep deliverables on track.
The Manager, PR & Marketing is responsible for managing outward messaging inserting WONGDOODY into the conversation and insuring our vision and drive is communicated to the world. Part strategist, part press-expert, part project manager, s/he will understand WONGDOODY’s various offerings and capabilities, including specialty groups (planning + creative; retail innovation; customer experience; production).
In this role you will:
- Work directly with the CMO to win share of voice in the digital transformation and creative space
- Help define and execute overall PR efforts and thought leadership strategy
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, message development, events and media training
- Ensure brand presence at key industry events and award show entries, and secure speaker engagements
- Become familiar with WONGDOODY and Infosys network resources and use them to meet goals
Specific responsibilities include:
- Create narratives, plans and media materials including releases, alerts, updates, social media content, pitch docs, thought leadership, event management, infographics, videos, b-roll, photos and more
- Play a major role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive public relations campaigns
- Serve as daily internal and external stakeholders contact and as external lead when appropriate
- Oversee quality and operational performance of WONGDOODY communications, ensuring work quality and deadline as well as budget adherence
- Help set WONGDOODY marcomm program goals and manage against them
- Leverage writing skills to craft internal and client correspondence, communications plans, press materials, thought leadership, event proposals, etc.
- Execute tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, pitch and message development, management of events, booking speaker engagements and coordination of media/consultant familiarization trips
- Deliver practical and advanced understanding of visual communications, social media and the digital landscape
- Leverage a comprehensive understanding of WONGDOODY and clients’ businesses, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners and other businesses/organizations, etc., and will be able to impart this knowledge to account team members
