Word of Faith Christian Academy Academy Principal Job Summary Word of Faith Christian Academy is in the heart of Memphis, TN. The Academy principal is critical in the Word of Deliverance Faith Ministries mission. The academy principal handles the operation and instructional leadership at the school. The Academy Principal trains and supervises staff. They set instructional objectives and work to build a rapport with parents and the community. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Manage day-to-day activities at the Academy. * Create/review instructional resources for the classroom. * Develop academic programs. * Monitors students and teachers for progress. * Train, encourage, and mentor teachers and other staff. * Manage career counseling. * Administer record keeping. * Build enrollment. * Supervise Academy and Childcare teachers and other support staff. * Maintain rapport with parents. * Handle tours, actively recruit, and seek ways to market the school. * Increase enrollment. * Prepare budgets for projects, programs, and annual reports from fundraisers. * Work actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards * Motivates students and staff members. * Regularly schedules meetings with parent groups, staff, and community leaders to incorporate the values of WODFM with the community. * Maintain communication with board members, the founder, and other staff members. * Ensure staff actively engages with the mission statement. * Establish performance goals and objectives. * Explain or answer procedural questions. * Make suggestions for new hires, and train and evaluate teachers. * Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods. * Examine learning materials. * Review instructional objectives and adjust accordingly. * Meet with other administrators, parents, and community organizations. * Understand and meet the demands of the state, local, accreditation, and governing boards. * Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and regulatory guidelines. In addition, the school principal collaborates with board members and staff. We accomplish this collaboration by participating in the comprehensive planning, implementation, and evaluation of all the schools' programs, goals, and objectives, particularly religious education and the formation of Christian frameworks. Also, the principal serves as a member of the teaching staff. Moreover, the principal participates in student and staff recruiting, retention, and program planning efforts.
